2011#04 Along These Lines in New York Cindy Allen, Editor In Chief of Interior Design Magazine, opened her own doors to the pages of the March issue for its principal feature. Seen nestling within Cindy’s supremely stylish Brooklyn Heights interior is Studio Lawrence’s GOOD DESIGN Award winning wall hanging, Along These Lines.
“You see relationships all over our apartment-with both rising stars and members of the magazine's Hall of Fame. Two Dutch designers, Bart Eijking and Patrick O. de Louwere of Studio Lawrence, recently pitched me a supercool striped felt wall hanging that was a near-exact match with enamelled panels we'd had made for our credenzas years ago, and I said, "I have to buy that." So now the felt stripes hang proudly in our living room and guest room.” Cindy Allen, Interior Design The dynamic wall hanging scooped a 2010 GOOD DESIGN Award at the end of last year having gained impressive attention in the media, featured in publications from Elle Deco to de Architect, and used in numerous high profile projects including Philips HQ and BDO in The Netherlands. Just this week Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands opened the new CITO building, and with it greeted a new 360degree monochrome composition of Along These Lines hung in the impressive central atrium.
